A man was hurt after two buses crashed into each other outside Eccles tram stop tonight. The drama happened after two Bee Network services - said to have no passengers aboard at the time - crashed into each other on Regent Street in Eccles.

Police and fire crews were scrambled to the scene and a section of Regent Street was cordoned off and surrounding roads were closed.

One eye-witness told the Manchester Evening News a man 'jumped in front of' one bus causing it to 'veer over and smash into another bus'.

Pictures from the scene showed an area of Regent Street cordoned off with officials at the scene. A recovery truck arrived later to tow away one of the buses.
