EAST CHICAGO, Ind. (WLS) -- At the last Paying It Forward community meal, 72 people showed up at East Chicago Church. But heading into November, even though founder Tamye Longoria depends on SNAP benefits herself, she says the need will be too great not to give.

"We're starving people," Longoria said.

Beginning Saturday, Nov. 1, millions of families nationwide could lose access to SNAP benefits.
