WESTLAKE, Ohio – The district recently completed installation of the Centegix Safety Platform in all district buildings to enhance security and streamline emergency response, district Superintendent Scott Goggin said.
District employees have been provided with security badges that work across the district in all buildings and on all campuses. When a threat or emergency exists, they can press a button three times to receive rapid assistance from school administrators and a school resource officer.
If a more serious threat exists, a staff member can press the button eight times to trigger a school lockdown. Beacons installed throughout the building would begin flashing, and audio announcements would declare a school lockdown. Messages would be displayed on computer monitors. In addition,
