BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - Staff at the NeuroMedical Center celebrated Halloween with the facility’s first-ever Fall Fest, featuring costume contests and pumpkin decorating.
Claire Bourgeois, a speech therapist at the center, dressed as Ralphie from “A Christmas Story” for the event.
“Every year is something different. Every year is epic. If you switch up your routine, you makes you smile a little more every day, especially in the workplace. And my job is to make them smile,” Bourgeois said. “It makes us smile, and it makes the patients smile. Now, whether they’re laughing at us or with us, it doesn’t matter.”
Bourgeois said maintaining a playful spirit is important in the workplace.
“You have to keep the inner child in you,” she said.
