A teenager has died after crashing an e-bike on the Gold Coast, days after a young boy died in an e-bike collision on the Sunshine Coast.
Paramedics were called to reports that a teenager had fallen from an e-bike on Broadbeach Boulevard in Broadbeach just after 3am.
Police say officers provided CPR to the teen who suffered significant head injuries.
They were taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition but could not be saved.
It marks the second fatal e-bike incident involving a young person in south-east Queensland this week.
On Thursday, an eight-year-old boy died after crashing head on with a 15-year-old boy, both riding e-bikes along a bike path near the Kawana Way and Sunshine Motorway interchange at Mountain Creek on the Sunshine Coast.
