EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Another big day at an Evansville school, students at McGary Middle School were selected to go to Disney with Cops Connecting with Kids.

They all got into the Disney-spirit with a themed assembly in their auditorium.

Eight students were selected by their teachers based on classroom effort, positive behavior and leadership.

Assistant Principal Brooke Zirkelbach says it was truly a special day.

“I get emotional seeing them light up, seeing their families light up,” Zirkelbach says. “They’re really so deserving. We wish we could send more than eight kids. We have so many kids that are deserving for this trip, but the ones that get to go are beyond deserving.”

They group will be Disney bound on January 19th
