PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - With many Oregonians facing uncertainty, especially those who rely on SNAP, one nonprofit is making sure free food pantries are available to help those in need.
“Food is a basic human right, food is a basic need,” said Kasey Anderson.
Anderson, the Executive Director of the Alano Club , said the club, along with both of its recovery gym locations in Southeast Portland and Hillsboro, will now offer free food pantries.
“If you walk in and say you need food, that’s it, no questions asked,” said Anderson.
From fruit to beans to soup, Anderson said the free pantry will have what many families need during these times.
