TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - With benefits set to end Saturday, Nov. 1, SNAP recipients aren’t the only ones affected.

Businesses and grocers who rely on SNAP-paying customers may see a drop in the number of people stopping by their stores.

Adia Olguin said it’s shocking when more than a couple of her customers pay without using SNAP in a day.

“It’s literally like 75% are on SNAP on a regular day,” Olguin said.

Adia and Ernesto Olguin own ORO House, a local farmer’s market vendor. They grow all their own produce and sell at the Santa Cruz River Farmer’s Market , a market that works with the community food bank to serve low-income families.

With November SNAP cuts looming, she’s concerned about how her business might be affected.
