In a startling policy turn, US President Donald Trump has hinted that the United States may resume underground nuclear weapons tests, something not done since 1992, stating, “We’re going to do some testing … You’ll find out very soon."

Speaking from aboard Air Force One while en route to a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Busan, South Korea, Trump told reporters the country cannot continue to “play by old rules" while other nations expand their nuclear arsenals.
