CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) -- In a “reverse” trick-or treating event, staff and community groups brought the Halloween fun straight to patients' rooms, delivering fun items and crafts throughout the hospital for UVA Children's Health.
"A lot of our patients and families are really looking forward to Halloween, and it can be a bummer when you don’t get to do all the things that your friends are doing outside the hospital. So, by doing 'reverse' trick-or-treating, we pass out costumes earlier this morning, helping the kids and teens here have the best Halloween that they can," said Amy Cesak, manager of patient and family center care and child life services.
