A woman who was found guilty of sexually abusing three young children and sharing online videos of the crimes has been sentenced to 10 years behind bars by the Perth District Court.

The 24-year-old woman was sentenced this week after pleading guilty earlier this month.

She will be eligible for parole after serving eight years.

The Western Australia Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team (WA JACET) - a unit comprised of officers from the AFP and Western Australia Police Force - charged the woman in July 2024.

WA JACET identified the woman after investigating a report from the United States' National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children about an online user uploading child abuse material via social media.

She was then charged with additional offences.
