The World Series is going the distance.

The Toronto Blue Jays dropped Game 6 on Friday night, 3-1, to the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers after a second strong start from Yoshinobu Yamamoto in this Fall Classic. With the win, the Dodgers staved off elimination and forced a Game 7 on Saturday at Rogers Centre (Sportsnet, 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT).

Toronto got a solid showing from starter Kevin Gausman, with the righty striking out eight over six innings.

Gausman got off to a hot start, picking up all eight of his punchouts in the first three innings of the game.

Los Angeles, however, got to him in the third. After Tommy Edman hit a one-out double, the Dodgers went on to mount a two-out rally. Shohei Ohtani was intentionally walked before Will Smith drove an RBI double down the left-field line
