The Ohio Redistricting Commission has adopted a new congressional map that could help Republicans win more seats in next year's elections.

Democrats and Republicans in Ohio have gone back and forth on a new map, with the state’s bipartisan redistricting commission adopting the new map on Friday.

The new map extends parts of the 8th District (which covers parts of Butler, Preble, Darke and Miami counties) into Hamilton County. District 1 would encompass part of Hamilton County, Warren County and Clinton County under the proposal.
