CARL JUNCTION, Mo. — Carl Junction High School took a two touchdown lead in the first quarter of Friday night’s football game against Bolivar High School and never looked back on the way to a 35-14 win over the Liberators in the first round of the Class 4 District 6 state playoffs.
This game looked like it could become close early in the second half when Bolivar, trailing 21-7 at the half, took the second half kickoff on a six-minute drive from the Liberators 36 to the Bulldogs 12, but the Bulldogs defense ended the drive with an interception by Carl Junction’s Sam Coats. ×
