A scary start to Halloween Friday morning for an Oakland woman who was attacked on her way into a market in Little Saigon.
Sasi Oda was on her way into the store after parking in the back when the incident happened at about 9 a.m.
“I felt like something bad was going to happen, so I grabbed the box right away, and it was protecting me when he threw a huge rock on me twice, and after that he tried to punch on me many times, but I was holding the box against him to push him out,” Oda said.
The incident was captured on camera, which you can watch in the video player above.
Thanks to her quick thinking, she got away unharmed. The incident happened near where a Little Saigon restaurant worker was attacked and hospitalized in December.
