GREEN – Akron-Canton Airport will set a new record for nonstop destinations with the addition of Breeze Airways starting to fly to Wilmington, North Carolina, on Nov. 7.
It will mark the 24th nonstop flight from the airport.
“Reaching 24 nonstop destinations is a testament to the strong partnerships we have with our airlines and the growing loyalty travelers have with CAK,” airport President and CEO Ren Camacho said in a prepared statement.
“With the return of key routes and the addition of new, first-time destinations, we’re building even more opportunities for Northeast Ohio to connect with the places people want to go most.”
The airport said it has surpassed pre-pandemic passenger levels. The airport had 380,232 passenger enplanements — the number of people boarding planes —in 202
