Delivery driver ‘pulled from car and head butted’ View Image

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a delivery driver was pulled from his vehicle and head butted. The man, aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital for injuries which have been described as not life threatening.

Another man, aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. Police said the incident happened at around 10.15pm on Friday night in the Dublin Road area of south Belfast.

Chief inspector Claire Hamilton asked anyone who witnessed what happened to speak to police. “It was reported that the victim was sitting in his car in the Dublin Road area, when an unknown man approached the vehicle and pulled him from it, before headbutting him to the face and striking him on the leg,” she said.
