MILLTOWN — Saint Mark’s scored in all three phases to secure a winning record in District 2A-2 with a 31-15 win over Odessa, highlighting the Oct. 31 games in Delaware high school football.
The Spartans (5-4, 3-1) generated a consistent pass rush, leading to 10 sacks and two interceptions. Saint Mark’s also recovered two fumbles and blocked or tipped multiple punts.
Saint Mark's took a 24-7 lead into halftime after Andrew Bulovas blocked a punt and Jeremiah Mitchell recovered the loose ball for a touchdown.
In the second half, Odessa moved the ball better than Saint Mark's but struggled to convert on multiple opportunities. The Ducks entered the red zone three times in the second half but scored only once on a Nakai Hann 6-yard run.
