HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- A man is dead after gunfire erupted when he and another person got into a fight at the home of his ex-girlfriend in north Houston overnight, the Houston Police Department said.

HPD said they responded to a shooting call at the 800 block of Lucky Street around 3 a.m. on Saturday. Officers said they found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and attempted CPR while paramedics arrived, but the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The incident took place at the home of the man's ex-girlfriend, according to HPD. They reported that the man arrived and found his ex-girlfriend with a male friend.
