After a disappointing 2024-2025 season, the Gillette Wild started with a clean slate with a new head coach and a new season.
As the Wild started the season there was a sense of new energy as the team was excited for this next chapter.
Hosting their rivals the Sheridan Hawks in the first two games to start the season, Gillette dropped the opening game, 6-3. They got their first gameajitters out the way, returned on Saturday, Sept. 13 with a 2-1 win.
The Spirit Ice Arena was loud and embraced the team following their first win of the season, but things started to tumble. The Wild went on to win their next game 5-2 over the Badlands Sabres, but hit their first rough patch of the season.
