UFC News:There’s been a lot of speculation and animosity between Islam Makhachev and Ilia Topuria, and plenty of people want to see it settled in the octagon, but for now, Makhachev’s moved to welterweight and really doesn’t seem to care about tackling the featherweight. He even mentioned that fighting Topuria at 155 is just not something that moves the needle for him.

Makhachev said that fans might like to see him fight Topuria, but he doesn’t feel that way. He is now only focused on fighting with Jack Della Maddalena. MatchTV interviewed him, and the Dagistani fighter said:

“How could it be interesting to me? What will it bring me if I drop to 70 kg and beat Topuria? Win the belt again? I already have it. People are primarily interested in it. I’m not interested in cutting weight to 70
