JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man is recovering from a foot injury after the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to a domestic incident.

JSO says this happened around 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of Thorn Glen Road where there was a report of a man shot.

Investigators explain that the man and the suspect were in the middle of a domestic dispute when the suspect pulled out a gun, fired multiple rounds and shot the man in the foot.

The injured man was taken to a hospital and his injury is said to be non-life-threatening.

Officers say they detained the gunman and are still collecting video evidence and interviewing witnesses for the investigation.
