LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) - Sunshine will fill the sky through the day today. After starting out with chilly conditions, temperatures will warm into the upper 60s this afternoon. Winds will be gusty around the area today with wind gusts exceeding 20 mph at times. This evening will see quiet weather return to the area as we drop into the 50s.
Tonight, lows will fall into the low 40s under clear skies and dry conditions. Jackets will be needed to begin Monday before sunshine warms temperatures to near 70 in the afternoon hours.
For the rest of the upcoming week, chilly mornings can be expected through midweek before a gradual warmup towards the weekend. High temperatures will climb into the mid 70 by Wednesday. By the end of the week, though, humidity surges back into Acadiana bringing clouds
