HOUSTON — November 4 is Election Day across Texas and we want to make sure you have what you need to know before you head to the polls. Early voting is now underway and runs through October 31.

On the ballot this year are 17 propositions. Here is the language you'll see on the ballot and what each ones means . There's also a special election to fill the seat in the U.S. House of Representatives left open by the late Rep. Sylvester Turner's death, and a Houston City Council seat. There are also school board seats and city elections.
