On Oct. 30, around 10:15 p.m., a THP trooper was patrolling Highway 111 in Putnam County when they found a pickup truck parked in the grass between the northbound lanes and the entrance ramp from Highway 70.
Here are instructions on how to watch WSMV4 live on various platforms.
During the investigation, the trooper determined the driver, William Looper, who was asleep in the truck, was intoxicated, THP said.
Looper was charged with driving under the influence, implied consent, possession of a handgun while under the influence, and open container, THP said.
The THP said Looper was decommissioned and placed on administrative leave
