It’s a walk with a different view every few feet.
Essex held its third annual Pumpkin Parade at ParticiPark Trail in Harrow and Sadlers Park in Essex Saturday, encouraging residents to stroll down pathways lined with candlelit pumpkins carved by residents for Halloween.
The town asked residents to drop off their pumpkins, which were then used to line walking trails in the parks.
“We think it’s a great way to kind of showcase two beautiful parks that we have in the town of Essex,” said Cynthia Cakebread, Essex’s manager of recreation and culture.
After the candlelit pumpkin parade, which ran from 6 to 8 p.m., the pumpkins were to be donated to local farmers for use on their farms.
