PHOENIX — A Phoenix man was allegedly shot and killed during an argument with his stepson on Saturday night, according to authorities.

The Phoenix Police Department said the shooting happened just before 9 p.m., near 37th Street and McDowell Road.

Police said Bradley Alan Gibson, 34, has been arrested in connection with the shooting death of William Christopher Baumgardner, 58.

Preliminary interviews indicate the two men got into an argument prior to the shooting.

Baumgardner was rushed to the hospital after the shooting, where he later died.

"During the argument, William confronted Bradley, and Bradley shot William, who then left the scene before police arrived," police said. "Bradley later returned to the scene and turned himself in to the patrol officers, with evidence of the crime
