President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with several chief ministers and other leaders congratulated the Indian team in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Finals on Sunday.
The team won their first-ever World Cup title with a 52-run win against South Africa in the final at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. In a 299-run chase, the Proteas were bundled out for 246 despite Laura Wolvaardt’s fighting century.
