Star India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal went on to pick his maiden first-class wicket on Monday, when he dismissed Deepak Hooda two runs short of a 250-run milestone, in the third round of the Ranji Trophy, with Mumbai taking on Rajasthan at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
After Mumbai put up 254 in their first innings in Jaipur, Rajasthan responded well, declaring at 617/6. Leading the charge was Deepak Hooda, who hammered a commanding double hundred off 292 deliveries.
Hooda was well supported by No. 6 Kartik Sharma, whose fluent 139 off 192 balls featured 13 boundaries and three sixes.
