The National Weather Service released a high wind warning at 12:41 p.m. on Sunday valid for Monday between 1 p.m. and 10 p.m. for Curry County Coast.
The weather service states, “South winds 35 to 45 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected along capes, headlands, and exposed areas.”
“High winds may move loose debris, damage trees and/or property, and could cause power outages. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles,” explains the weather service. “People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind.”
