Irecently put on a knit green frog hat and joined an army of frogs marching in resistance to a wannabe king. It’s not what I thought I would be doing when I ran for Congress to make health care more affordable, our communities more livable and our economy more equitable.

But that’s how Portland is meeting this moment: with creativity and courage.

Trump’s claims that our city is “war-ravaged” and harboring domestic terrorists are absurd. And Portlanders’ response has been brilliant: fight absurdity with absurdity.
