FOXBOROUGH – The Patriots have made it look easy at times over this five-game winning streak.
As we were reminded against the Atlanta Falcons , it’s rarely easy in the NFL.
Sunday’s matchup had the makings of a blowout. The Patriots scored easily on their first drive. The team’s defense finally started fast. It appeared as though the team would head into the half getting the ball back with a three-score lead.
On Sunday, we also saw what happens when the Patriots and Drake Maye don’t play a perfect game. The second-year quarterback had two costly turnovers inside Gillette Stadium. One kept the score close at halftime. Another made it a one-score game in the fourth quarter.
The team’s sloppy play was reminiscent of their loss against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
