Manchester City climbed to second in the Premier League table following a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth on Sunday evening.

An Erling Haaland brace and a Nico O’Reilly strike were enough to overturn Tyler Adams’ first-half goal, securing Pep Guardiola ’s side a hard-fought three points at the Etihad Stadium .

The result moves City to within six points of league leaders Arsenal , while Liverpool sit one point behind in third. Bournemouth, meanwhile, drop to fourth as Andoni Iraola suffers just his second league defeat of the season.
