ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — This game was circled back in May, when the NFL schedule was released.

It's become the league's biggest rivalry. Bills and Chiefs. Allen and Mahomes.

The last time these two teams met, the Chiefs beat the Buffalo Bills in AFC championship game in Kansas City on Jan. 26. Sunday's Week 9 game was expected to weigh heavily in the AFC playoff race over the next two months, especially given tiebreaker implications.

In the end, Buffalo survived a frantic late push by the Chiefs to win 28-21.

The Bills wanted a strong start Sunday, and they got one. They marched 84 yards in 11 plays, capped by a 23-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Josh Allen to tight end Dalton Kincaid to make it 7-0 exactly seven minutes into the game.
