A man who was tasered following a knife attack on a UK train repeatedly shouted “kill me” as he was tackled to the ground, according to a witness. ‌

British Transport Police confirmed on Sunday that a 32-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested in connection with the horror incident in Huntingdon. Two men were originally arrested by police at the scene but a second man has been released with no further action. ‌

A member of staff for LNER, who remains in a life-threatening condition, and tried to stop the attacker, has been described as a "hero" by police who say his actions "undoubtedly saved many people’s lives". ‌

Five casualties have now been discharged from hospital.

An eyewitness has told that one man wrestled by police repeatedly shouted two words.
