LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - The family of a teenager murdered in May honored him on what would have been his 17th birthday.
Ali Naqvi’s family celebrated his life as police have charged Jesus Eduardo Reyes Ocampo with his murder and tampering with evidence.
“He was so happy, energetic all the time you know? And say the words that make everybody laugh,” said Mona Naqvi, Ali’s mother.
Mona Naqvi remembered her son as full of light and energy. She recalled one time when he was so energetic that she put child locks on items around the house, including the refrigerator, but he pulled the handle out.
She said beneath her son’s 6-foot-1 frame was a sensitive, gentle soul.
