PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) - The Washington Panthers won a thriller sectional title Saturday to move to the 2A Elite 8.

It took 100 minutes of soccer to beat Normal West, but Isaac Reetz blasted home the winning goal in the 98th minutes, just 89 seconds from a PK shootout.

The victory propelled the Panthers to their first-ever supersectional appearance. It's a milestone that's been a long time in the making, and even sweeter for the players to win for their head coach.
