A total of 72 people were travelling in the public transport bus that collided with a tipper lorry on the Hyderabad-Bijapur highway in Telangana’s Ranga Reddy district in the early hours of Monday, authorities confirmed. As per the latest information, 21 people have died and seven have been identified. Most of the victims were women, some news reports said.

While some of the dead are at the Chevella Government Hospital, others have been shifted to Osmania Hospital for post-mortem. It has been decided to conduct all post-mortems at the same facility and more doctors will be asked to join the Osmania team.
