Newcastle Knights legend Adam MacDougall believes all the signs look good for his beloved former NRL club in 2026… and beyond.

Now a successful businessman, the powerful outside back played 158 matches of his 195-game career in the Hunter, winning premierships in 1997 and 2001 and scoring a total of 87 tries.

He also represented NSW and Australia on 11 occasions each to etch his name in local folklore.

So, if anyone’s qualified to speak about Newcastle’s fortunes, it’s the man known as Mad Dog.
