This is a pledge made by Jeff Bezos , Amazon’s founder. His promise is enshrined on the company’s website, filled with photos of smiling staff.
However, an investigation by The i Paper has found that over the last decade more than 2,500 workers have been injured in UK warehouses – and in some cases they have faced disciplinary action and had their pay deducted for time off sick.
