Less than 20 feet away from Vanguard Football's locker room hangs a sign that reads "Reserved for Luther Daymon" on the fence encircling Fuqua Field. On any given game night, you can find former Vanguard players and current coaches surrounding the man who earned the only permanently reserved spot in Booster Stadium before games.

Luther Daymon earned that spot after serving Vanguard's football program for the better part of two decades. Whether it was on the chain crew, as a cook or booster club member, Daymon did everything he could to help Vanguard football be successful.

"Everything the guys needed, I did it,” Daymon said. “… If guys needed counseling. I did it all. They recognized me for the good things I did at Vanguard.”
