The Supreme Court told a Kuki rights organisation on Monday that audio clips related to former Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh had been tampered with. It was claimed that in the audio clips, the former CM was saying that he had allowed the Meitei community to incite violence.

Confidential report revealed modified audio clips

The bench headed by Justice Sanjay Kumar said that a confidential report from the National Forensic Science University in Gandhinagar, Gujarat revealed that the audio clips were modified and altered. It was not scientifically fit for voice comparison.
