CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – Tuesday is election day, and people across the Lowcountry will head to their polling location to cast a ballot for the person they want representing them in many local offices, from mayor to town and city council.

These races put into office the people who make decisions that can impact you daily: traffic, development, infrastructure, and even taxes.

You can visit scvotes.gov to check your voter registration information and precinct location, and you can download a copy of your sample ballot to know who will appear on the screen when it comes time to cast your vote.
