HARTFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - Eight people were forced out of their home after a fire broke out early Monday morning.

The Hartford Fire Department responded to 248 Putnam Street at approximately 1:19 a.m. after receiving reports of a working fire at a multi-family home.

The home is located in the city’s Frog Hollow neighborhood.

Firefighters found flames coming from a first-floor rear bedroom that had spread into the kitchen area.

Crews put out the fire and kept it contained to where it started.

Two adults from the second floor were safely removed from the building. No one was on the first floor when the fire broke out.

No injuries were reported among residents or firefighters.
