Montreal police will examine local surveillance cameras on Monday after a duplex in the city’s Notre-Dame-de-Grâce district was targeted by arsonists for the second time in a week.

Police said the incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. at the residence on Girouard Ave. near St-Jacques St.

The suspect or suspects set fire to one of the building’s balconies and then fled.

There were no injuries reported and damage to the balcony was minor.

The front door of the same address was targeted in a similar fashion on Oct. 27. In that incident, the fire went out on its own.
