Mayor Monroe Nichols proposes Feb. 10 vote on city sales tax increase

Mayor Monroe Nichols will meet with city councilors Wednesday to discuss his proposal to call a Feb. 10 election to ask voters to approve a 0.7% increase in the city’s sales tax rate as well as an increase in the city’s hotel/motel tax.
