LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - We’re kicking off the first full workweek of November with a stretch that actually feels more like a bonus round of fall! After some morning fog to get Monday started, the rest of the day looks great, setting the tone for several mild, pleasant afternoons. From Tuesday through Thursday, highs climb into the low and mid-60s, a stretch of sunshine and warmth that’ll make it hard to believe we’re already in November.
But as is usually the case this time of year, the calm doesn’t last long. A cold front charges in by late Friday, bringing a round of gusty showers and perhaps even a few rumbles of thunder. That system alone won’t cool us down much; it’s the stronger surge coming in behind it that really packs the punch.
By Sunday and Monday, a true shot of early-season
