An Air India flight operating from San Francisco to Delhi made a precautionary landing in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, on Sunday after the crew detected a suspected technical issue mid-air, the airline said in a statement.
Flight AI174, which was operating via Kolkata, landed safely at Ulaanbaatar and is currently undergoing technical checks, Air India said.
“We are working closely with our partners to support all passengers while making efforts to get everyone to their destination at the earliest opportunity. We regret the inconvenience caused to passengers due to the unforeseen situation. At Air India, the safety of passengers and crew remains a top priority,” the airline spokesperson said.
