PORTLAND, Ore. — The body of a dead male adult, believed to have been the victim of a shooting, was found in a parking lot in the 300 block of Southwest 3 rd Avenue in the early hours of Sunday morning by Portland Central Precinct officers.
When the police arrived on the scene after receiving a report of a person down on the ground, there was no sign of a suspect(s), and no arrests have yet been made.
The officers summoned paramedics to the scene, but the victim was pronounced deceased. Although his death appears to have been caused by a gunshot, this will have to be determined by a medical examiner.
The case is being investigated by the Portland Police Homicide Unit, which has closed Southwest Harvey Milk Street between Southwest 3 rd Avenue and Southwest 5 th Avenue. Southwest 4
