The fifth suspect wanted in connection with the homicide of 37-year-old David Pavao, who was reported missing in August, has been arrested.

Officers with the Windsor Police Service emergency services unit, working in collaboration with the OPP-led repeat offender parole enforcement squad, located the suspect Friday at a residence in the 1600 block of Drouillard Road.

Jason Vincent Smith has been charged with being an accessory after the fact to murder, indecent interference with a deceased body, mischief under $5,000 and failure to comply with a release order.

Smith’s arrest follows the capture of four other suspects.
